2022/23 Holiday Program

Our holiday programs are designed to help our student maintain their English studies during the holiday season, in preparation for the next term or the new year. We offer a range of courses for junior, middle and senior school students in a more relaxed environment. These holiday courses aim to widen a student’s understanding of Australian culture, and to gain a deeper appreciation of the history.

The holiday programs offer courses to improve vocabulary, grammar and English literature, from basic skills right through to VCE and International Baccalaureate proficiency.

One of the benefits of our holiday courses is that we combine and integrate Auliau lessons with the Australian school curriculum, which provides continuity and consistency of education for the student. This continuity produces far more success in understanding, retaining and appreciating the English language.

What our students are saying

I'm William, and my ATAR score last year was 99.85. getting this score was unplanned and unexpected, because ever since I decided to follow Ms. Sunny's lead, I knew that finding the right way to work hard was rewarding. So I wanted to share my experience and advice so that you will have a better idea of how to prepare and exceed.

Due to COVID-19, every VCE student has encountered a lot of difficulties this year. For me, I think VCE is like a marathon. It's important to keep up with the fast pace while reserving some personal time for extracurricular activities. On top of that, maintaining a positive relationship with your teachers is key.
Secondly, I really appreciate Sunny's support both academically and mentally; her enthusiasm and positive spirit really inspired me. Without her help, I might not have gotten as far as I did.

Like everyone else, VCE 2020 was a challenging year for me, but also a rewarding one: the unprecedentedly sudden and lengthy suspensions and pessimism made VCE 2020 even more difficult, taxing and grueling.
Setting small goals gave me back my motivation, and in the last two months of VCE, Sunny guided me to become a more disciplined and determined person. I began to have the ability to adapt to the constant changes in objective conditions and to self-regulate even in the worst situations, and it was she who taught me - victory comes from perseverance and determination.

Ray ZhengEnglish (EAL) 46.87 ATAR 99.45

Time flies and when I got my results, my memories went back to the difficult and unforgettable 2020: I experienced the biggest challenge of my life - I was forced to segregate twice and therefore missed a lot of classes and ended up in a panic, but Ms. Sunny. From then on, I started to calm myself down, taking one step at a time and clearly feeling like I was moving forward. Now, I want to thank myself for never giving up even in difficult times, and also thank Sunny, without her, there would be no Eric today with the results in hand.
The biggest message I received through my time with Ms. Sunny was 'Don't be shy to ask for help!' Asking for help is not being timid and don't pretend to work hard because the results won't play along with you. Finally, good grades are never complete without a healthy body, don't consume your body for grades!

Eric YangEnglish (EAL) 38.09 ATAR 96.35

In time for Christmas, I would like to thank Mr. Sunny who has been working tirelessly to teach me. When I received my VCE report card, I couldn't contain the first moment to give thanks except for my joy, I was very satisfied with the result because it was a great surprise that I was able to achieve what I did today with my initial weak English level.
I still remember when you would read my essays individually after class, point out my mistakes and the holes in my foundation that needed to be strengthened at this stage, encourage and spur me on, and even help me set small goals together, etc. I think this is a very effective state of preparation, because you are teaching me in practical terms how to turn my dreams into reality little by little!

I was very upset when I did Unit 3/4 English, mainly because I ended my first and second SACs with a less than satisfactory "B", causing me to lose my confidence in the subject.
However, it was then that I met Sunny and joined auliau's small group classes, in which she taught me many writing skills, including sentence structure, how to interpret essay topics, paragraph structure, how to analyze thoroughly, and points that I was unfamiliar with. With effective daily effort, my English skills and confidence were growing, bringing out the best in me beyond expectation in my final performance.
When I saw the results, in the light of tears, I was reminded of the words again - "If you have a problem, solve it, if you have a problem, break through, stopping and hesitating is never as good as taking a little step forward.
